As it stands, I have been extremely busy over the past week or two with
'Project NeoMeteor' and
'Project Elepire', finding a place to
live when I move to
Lexington next month and maintaining this long-distance relationship, so my patience with games has been a bit low lately. That said, I shortened my venture through
Azeroth to a scant one month before deciding there wasn't anything worth playing the game for (Sorry, Jon). I managed to make it to level 14 before I gave it up, but there were other more interesting prospects on the horizon that I felt I could better devote my time to. One of these games has (of course) been Pokemon; I'm breeding my super team to dominate the newest expansion 'Platinum' when it comes out March 22nd.
Another game I'm fairly excited about is
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. This is the first game that Jon and I will get to play together, but there's also something endearingly cute about playing a game simultaneously on two DS systems or, if I'm feeling bold, his DS and my Wii. I'm not really expecting the story to be
that engaging; I'm more excited about whether or not the
concept works out. As much as I love pulling my DS out to play 5-10 minutes of Pokemon or Advance Wars, I think I'll like it just that much more when I'm playing
with someone. And the best part is, I can coast between playing single-player and multiplayer whenever I want, so I'm not stuck waiting for someone to play with. This looks to be pure joy.
I'm not really into spending large amounts of money erroneously, but it seems that everytime I walk into my local Gamestop I spend upwards $200. This newest purchase was for the new
DSi, which I can best describe as a mere curiosity. See, I'm thinking this thing is gonna fail, and for some reason decided to bet against this theory by purchasing the damn thing. But, since
this guy made almost the exact same argument I am
against the system, I'm not going to rehash. We'll see if my investment pays off (which it should since Nintendo usually dominates with new handhelds).
Otherwise, I'm trying to finish at least one site within the week, or at least have it running. I'd like to start drawing the comic now, if I could ever find the time in between the other things I'm obligated to do. Like, you know... sleeping or whatnot.
